We are building an app that is used in an event based on lights and music. The app will control a huge physical instrument and we are now looking for the tunes the instrument will play.
We are looking for a pop(ish) dubstep track of 1,5min to 2min in length.
The song selected here will be divided into two or three pieces for the app. There will be a background track that the app will play, and a "lead instrument" which the app user can control. From the selected song we will need the background track separately and the lead instrument as separate samples for each note. If there is a cool wobble bass we might want to let the user control that as well. Then we would need the samples of the wobble separately as well.
The event will have top notch sound system so we are looking for top quality track!
We are looking to select the winner as soon as possible. After winner selection there might be some tweaking with the lead instrument sound when we get to test it out with the app.
The user of the app will be able to play notes with the lead instrument on top of the background track. The app will show suggestions of which notes to play and when (according to your melody in the song). For this reason the song should start out easily with less frequent note changes. The linked reference "The XX - Intro" has the kind of structure we are after. The song should build up and have other structural variations as well (not just one loop for the whole song). We will sync the lights to the song so if there's a drop in the song structure the lights will dim or go out completely, etc.
The app will not be a "skill game" but rather suppose to be an awesome audiovisual experience for the user. They should be able to play with the song easily and have a great experience with the music and lights.
