We are seeking an audio for a new service opened on April 23 that works 1) as the audio for an animated logo (a video) and 2) for FM and internet radio programs and pod casts.

FORGE Service Lab is a place for creating digital services. It is intended to accelerate the digitalization of services in Finland. FORGE supports the learning journey from designing and developing to implementing experimenting services by enabling co-working and giving support with the help of world-class tools. You can come to FORGE Service Lab with your digital service idea to make it happen, or if you are a digital service professional, join FORGE Plaza, “a market place for digital service developers”.
This is where we need your help: FORGE Service Lab was opened on April 23 (2014) but it lacks the audio presence and needs an audio logo that describes what it is. FORGE's key brand assets are as following: open, co-creation, international, approachable and utilitarian. We like to think FORGE as being dynamic, clear, colorful and trendy.
FORGE’s audience is extensive: the demand comes from big businesses outside ICT (in transition to internet economy), mid-sized companies, public sector, SMEs. The supply offered via FORGE comes from forerunners of digital services, design service companies, cloud computing industry, internet industry research community and educational institutions. And we need to convince the top influencers in digitalization too!
Your challenge is to create an audio logo that delivers the message of FORGE Service Lab to its’ vast audience and is easily recognizable. We are looking for a logo that sounds digital but warm, human, daring and yet simple – something you’d like to whistle!
The length of the audio logo can vary according to your design. Anything 6 to 20 seconds can work. It’s going to be used in our videos and as a theme song/audio in “DIGIpuhetta” radio programs/podcasts when the topic of the program is about FORGE.
We’d strongly encourage you to check the “FORGE Service Lab video – What Would your Digital Service Be Like?” At the very end (from 1 min 32 sec to 1 min 34 sec), you will notice how FORGE Logo is being drawn and it transforms to an image at the end. This will be made as a logo with video & audio (the logo will be drawn in 6-7 sec, not this quickly as in the video) when combined with your audio design.
