Design brief
The Audiodraft Music Library is an online store of exclusive, original music. All the tracks are produced by the talented worldwide Audiodraft sound designer community and handpicked by music professionals to ensure great quality. The Audiodraft Music Library is offering only exclusive licenses, so a single tune can be sold only once.
This challenge gives you a unique opportunity to get your music to the Music Library! By winning you will be able to get your tune to be listed and sold in the Music Library and you will gain reputation on Audiodraft by getting a winner badge on your profile page.
The best tunes competing in the challenge will be added to the Music Library. The maximum number of entries per designer is limited to 5 (including withdrawn ones as well).
The aim of this Challenge is to create a nice fingerstyle tune that showcases your unique skill and technique on the guitar. Please note that we are looking for "real" guitar recordings, not MIDI/VST. For this Challenge we are inspired by the music and technique of Chet Atkins, Lindsey Buckingham, Tommy Emmanuel etc.
The key (pitch and major/minor) is up to you. Try to follow a free selection of these mood tags:
beautiful
calm
melancholy
intense
groovy
melodic
uplifting
inspiring
sad
dangerous
romantic
A solo guitar track is fine, but you can add other instruments as well. The limit is max. 4 elements/tracks.
We value a clean recording, solid technique (don't play above your skill level – sometimes less is more!), and a clear compositional theme/idea.
MeterPlugs are sponsoring this Challenge with a nice plugin prize. 'Perception' is a useful tool that will help find your music's loudness "sweet spot".
After the winners of this challenge have been selected, we'll do a random draw amongst them and one lucky winner will get a free licence for Perception.
