At Audiodraft, the majority of the briefs we get these days involve syncing custom made music to video.
The best entries and winners are the composers who manage to find ways for the music and visuals to interact in clever and exciting ways.
These interactions can be as obvious as adding in foley sound effects, and as subtle as gentle atmospheres which cover the entire track.
Sometimes is can be an entire theme or sound design palette which runs through the composition.
We are looking for the next batch of audio professionals to work with on these briefs. If you interested, heres how you can get started:
For the attached video compose a custom audio track which syncs to the visuals in either of the following Genres:
- Rock
- Pop
- Synth
For good syncing, try to pick out visual elements of the movie and reflect it in your composition.
Examples of syncing are, drums beats which correspond to camera cuts.
Foley to support the visual effects on screen
An atmospheric mood to suit the visuals
instrumentation which plays with the images on screen
To enter, submit a track no longer than 01:30s and the track MUST contain the name of the genre you are composing for.
Other than that, you are free to include production notes on the time line, highlighting what musical elements play with the visual ones.
Happy creating, and have fun!
