We very often get briefs in for companies who need a Brand theme and audio logo designed for their company. The most challenging part of this process is translating Brand attributes into musical ones.
For example, what does "Loyalty" sound like? Is it a repetitive and simple drum pattern, which translates as the companies consistent commitment to customers? Perhaps Loyalty is the sound of a clean, fingerpicked acoustic guitar melody?
For this challenge, we want you to create a 30-40 second brand theme and audio logo based on the following description of the company:
The company is a small independent Theatre based in Irelands second largest city. They offer a large range of shows, from contemporary performances, to independent music events, comedy nights and burlesque shows once a month. Their audience ranges from 18 - 65, and caters to all demographics.
Their Brands attributes are:
- Pioneering
- Innovative
- Bold / Adventurous
- Friendly and local
The music will be used for the intro to each evenings performance/show, and will also features in promotional videos online for upcoming events and on local radio adverts.
This is a fictional company.
We would like you to design a 30-40 second Brand theme and Audio logo for this theatre.
- The logo must be included at the end of the brand theme, all in one file
- The song can be any genre, style or BPM
IMPORTANT:
- The uploaded entry must contain the tag "Audio Logo"
- The uploaded entry MUST contain in the description a short explanation of how you translated each brand attribute to music.
For example, if you used a Sitar, and feel this represents "Innovation", tell us why in detail.
Entries which fail to use the appropriate tag, or offer an adequate description will be rated as one star for being outside of the brief.
Example A: "I used Sitar to represent Innovation, as it is an instrument which is not widely used in commercial music and could therefore be seen as innovative"
Example B: "I used a background sound of a crowd cheering in the Audio logo to represent the excitement and localness of a crowd attending the theatre"
