Score A Video: Surprise Us!

Design brief

This month we will be offering 5 lucky winners a free copy of the amazing MixChecker Pro plugin (value $199) by Audified. "Simulate the devices and environment of your audience to make your mix exceptional for everyone".


If there's one golden rule in video scoring, it's this:
Great audio can bring to life any type of footage, but bad audio can destroy even the best imaginable visual content.

We want to see if you can score this short video clip with a unique soundtrack. Think of it as a TV/online spot, or promotional clip, that you need to score.

Instructions
1. Don’t go with the most obvious choice. A booming speaker could easily be playing e.g. bass-heavy hip hop. Try to surprise us, and push your creativity!

2. The video is divided into two parts. Part A has graphics. Part B only has the footage of the speaker, no text (until the very end). Part A should represent "silence" – but maybe silence has a sound? Feel free to use your creativity and imagination for part A! Score part B with your unique music. In other words: Your music needs to play during part B, but you are more than welcome to do sound design for part A, too. Please note, there needs to be a noticeable contrast between part A and part B to create an impactful transition to part B.

3. Think about 'The Power of Audio'. How can you catch the viewer's attention and make this simple video come to life?

4. The audio needs to match the video length perfectly. When you upload your audio file, it will be synced to the video automatically online.
