Create A Classy TV Drama Theme

Design brief

The Audiodraft Music Library is an online store of exclusive, original music. All the tracks are produced by the talented worldwide Audiodraft sound designer community and handpicked by music professionals to ensure great quality. The Audiodraft Music Library is offering only exclusive licenses, so a single tune can be sold only once.

This challenge gives you a unique opportunity to get your music to the Music Library! By winning you will be able to get your tune to be listed and sold in the Music Library and you will gain reputation on Audiodraft by getting a winner badge on your profile page.

The best tunes competing in the challenge will be added to the Music Library. The maximum number of entries per designer is limited to 5 (including withdrawn ones as well).

The aim of this challenge is to create a tune that could work perfectly as the theme for a classy TV drama series. We are inspired by the opening credit themes of e.g. House Of Cards, Downton Abbey, Rubicon and The Borgias. Please try to include different dramatic segments in your tune, feel free to use hybrid instrumentation, and keep it interesting for the whole length of 1:30.

In addition, this challenge is about learning to meet technical requirements:

Length should be 1:30 (+/– 5 seconds).
The key is up to you.

You can use your own level meters, or download a demo version of LCAST by MeterPlugs. Use the meters to make sure that your entry meets these requirements:

Should not exceed:
-1 dBTP (True Peak)

Should have an integrated loudness level of ca:
-16 LUFS

Should preferably have a loudness range (LRA) between:
5–15 LU
